Women and negotiation

Women and Work

An internationally recognized authority on the obstacles women confront in the workplace, Sara Laschever is the co-author with Linda Babcock of the groundbreaking works Women Don’t Ask and Ask For It: How Women Can Use the Power of Negotiation to Get What They Really Want.

Sara is frequently cited in the national and international media as an expert on women’s leadership challenges, the persistence of the wage gap, and the impact of subconscious biases on the durability of the glass ceiling.

Her lively, eye-opening talks and workshops have become popular draws for corporate audiences, colleges and universities, law firms, government agencies, and women’s leadership groups nationwide and around the world.

Sara also provides private coaching services to women navigating critical career transitions and facilitated group coaching for women eager to share their own experiences and learn from those of their peers.

Keynotes, seminars & workshops

In high demand as a speaker, Sara lectures, leads seminars, and teaches workshops on the costs and causes of women’s reluctance to negotiate. Her dynamic, interactive programs explore the fundamentals of good negotiation practice while training women to use tactics and strategies that research has shown work far better than imitating men’s styles.

Individual AND GROUP coaching

In sustained relationships cultivated over time, Sara guides women through the process of accurately evaluating their talents, targeting what will make their personal and professional lives more fulfilling, and building the confidence and competencies to achieve both their short-term and longer-term goals.

Sara also provides small group coaching that helps individuals advance their own career goals while supporting and exchanging wisdom and experience with their peers. She offers skillful guidance to groups working to dismantle the barriers erected by the biases and structural issues that disadvantage women and minorities.
